Want To Uplift Your Spirit..... Read This Book!!!!

I read a good book recently and let it be known i do not truly enjoy reading. I however have read a good amount of books over the past 10 years. The books that i enjoy are books that discuss basically 3 areas : God,U2,Psychotherapy. The first is obvious, the second uhh humm ....greatest band ever..and amazing witness of Christianity in action, and third my career.
Anyways as you get to know me i am very skeptical of books and preachers as i choose to guard my heart with extreme diligence, not that many preachers and Christians do not have great intentions i just do not want incorrect theology to gain a foothold. So before i read a book or listen to a tape series i usually investigate with ferocious tenacity. This is especially true when it comes to books or series on prophecy or visions or heaven. So when my mother gave me this book i read it with curiosity and skepticism. This book surprised me in many ways, first the extreme length of the authors vision of heaven, so much detail and depth. The second was how the themes connected to the other visions in the book as well as other visions i have read about over my years of Christianity. This book does an amazing job at giving us a glimpse of the kindness of Jesus and his personality, your heart will beam when you see how much his love comes through the authors vision. The book continually gives scripture to allow the reader to check the authenticity. Do i take this book as gospel, no but i do believe it to be extremely authentic and a foreword by Oral Roberts is always a nice touch. I urge everyone to read this book it will show you a side of Jesus we all would hope for out of our savior. One bright spot the book showcases is how the children who have passed on before they were supposed to are taken care of so beautifully, it will make anyone who has lost a child feel peace that Jesus is taking great care of them. Do yourself a favor and pickup this little gem........

CORNERSTONE DIVISION CHAMPS !!!!!!!!!

What A Year!!!!! Our team had to play back to back games and played our long time church softball nemesis Calvary Tabernacle. The game started off rocky as Calvary jumped out the gate quick to a 2-0 lead and it was a seesaw battle until the third inning when we took the lead with a Joe Rossi homerun and we finally started to play the good defense we have been playing. Cornerstone won 22-10 and won the B division championship for the first time in the 9 year Cornerstone CDCSL membership history. It was Great to see Coach Chuck Joslin excited with the Division Championship. Chuck introduced Cornerstone to the league and has made the playoffs twice before only to exit with first round losses. With the Win Cornerstone has won 7 straight and chuck finished the regular season with a perfect pitching record 10-0!!!. Now the Playoffs begin and HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!

Gotta Love The Olympics!!!!!!!

WOW is all i can say after staying up late to watch the US Men's swim team win the 4x100 relay race. Here they were underdogs to the heavily favored French team, the announcers saying all night long they are just over matched! With Jason Lezak who was dogged for lackluster performances in past Olympic games came through with a miraculous comeback to overtake the french anchor who was the world record holder in a last second herculean effort to win the gold. I felt so proud for this team and to be an American. I love the Olympics for a very simple reason.....it makes us proud to be Americans and stop all the ridiculous Ethnic branding so many people are doing today. We hear so many people say "I'm Irish, or I'm Italian or I'm Puerto Rican" . STOP PLEASE! We are Americans and while we should be proud of our heritages lets embrace this country instead of trying to segregate it into a million little countries. When the Olympics are on we are all UNITED. This is a wonderful example for us Christians while we may have different gifts or different annointings we are all Children of the Most High God and that is what counts.......

Cornerstone Softball.... What A Journey

Tonight Cornerstone won our 8th Game to go to 8-2 the best start in Cornerstone CDCSL history. It has taken many years to finally get a team that is a true team, and lord knows we have had many bad seasons. Whats so great about this team the talent thats part of it, but really it's this.... when there are extra players and these players do not play they do not pout, not at at all,the extras cheer on and really support each other. This is my 5th year on the team and have seen myself grow as a player but more importantly as a person. A good example is tonight I was hitless and was at the plate with bases loaded with a 3-1 count and i wanted desperately to get a hit to make my stats better but knew if i walked a run would definitely score. Coach said "take it he's wild" so i thought about the team and putting the team first and a run scored as i was walked. was it an important run....no , as we won 19-1 but i believe that this team exemplifies that atittude team first, self second. I am proud to play with all the players on this team who put team first. This team is a true example of a christian softball team. I really think we have a shot to win the whole thing, but more importantly is the bond we share as a team.
I would also like the thank the devoted fans who support us especially Mary and Jim they are there every week and we truly appreciate it. If you were at our sunday service you saw the Holy Spirit move and Cornerstone has truly grown into a spiritual adult stage, and this is true in the softball team as well. God is Alive and Moving at Cornerstone....come join the fun
